Simplify Your Communications

It doesn’t matter how smart you are, what you’ve accomplished, how many degrees you have, or who you’ve worked with. If you can’t get your idea across to me in a few sentences or less you’ve lost me.

Taking a simple idea and making it complicated is easy.  Taking a complicated idea and making it simple is very difficult but has a much higher payoff.

    Mark Twain once remarked “I didn’t have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead” and his sentiment is true. You can make any message simple if you work enough at it. When your message is simple, you win.
