I’m not smart enough.
I’m too fat.
I’m too short.
I couldn’t do that, it’s too risky.
I’m too lazy.
I don’t have enough experience.
That’s not the way business is supposed to be done.
Our company can’t do that, we’re too big.
We can’t do that, it has never been done before.
These are all excuses you convince yourself of because you’re afraid. Either afraid to do the hard, challenging, difficult work or scared of that little voice in the back of your head telling you you’re going to fail. Failure is a disturbingly scary monster (or so we’ve been told), what if the key is to do the exact opposite of what we’ve been told in life, to fail faster and more often?
Anything worth having in life is worth working for and the smarter and harder you work, the larger the payoff in the end.
Keep telling your self you’re not smart enough and it will come true. Truly successful people understand that there are no limits and failing isn’t just a fact of life, it is a necessity on the path to success.
